History: I guess you could say I'm new a guitar playing. I used to play 27 years ago but fell away from it so I'm learning all over again. I play for my own personal pleasure. I prefer pop, western or easy listening music. I own a Takamine and a Zager guitar.
Purchase: I found Zager Guitars on the internet some time ago. I had purchased a Takamine G240 3 years ago but always had trouble with close chords and sore fingers. I did some modification to it to make it easier to fret but still had trouble. I thought about the Zager for some time b4 I got serious about ordering one. I read dozens of reviews and was really excited about trying one. I originally orders a Martin Sigma DM-1 (due to finances) but wanted a ZAD 50. After a few emails and a couple of conversations with Denny Jr. he offered me a blemished ZAD 50 for the same price as the DM-1. I jumped on that offer and haven't looked back. I ordered it on a Wed afternoon and had it Friday morning. Now if there is a blemish on this guitar I sure can't find it. I am more than pleased.
Pros: The guitar was just beautiful. Quality workmanship throughout. Denny Zager is a first rate luthier. His Easy Play String Science should be adopted by all guitar manufactures. It is unbelieveable. It comes with hand filed frets, hand made nut and saddle, abalone inlays, grover tuners. I have only compared it thus far to my Takamine and 2 30 year old Ovation Legends and it sounds better than both. I only paid $595 for my Zager and I would stack it up against any guitar costing 3-4 times as much for tone quality, ease of playing and workmanship. Get a Zager you won't be sorry!

Features : The feature that stands out the most, to me, is how close the strings are to the fret board. There is less effort to pushing down on the strings.
Action, Fit, & Finish: The guitar looks flawless. I'm not an expert on guitars, but after close inspection it is evident, to me, that lots of careful worksmanship went into putting this guitar together.
Sound Quality: The sound is very vibrant. When I play chords they sound crisp and full.
Reliability/Durability: The guitar looks and feels solid, I don't see how it wouldn't last a long time. However, it is still brand new and it's the first week of me owning it. I don't think I can accurately give a rating for this right now.
Customer Support: I haven't had a reason to contact customer support, but they've kept contact with me to make sure I'm satisfied with my guitar. Their lifetime warranty reassures me that it is a quality product.
Overall Rating: I've been playing on and off for 17 years. I own two other acoustic guitars (Yamaha and Capistrano). They sound nice, but next to the Zager, there is no comparison. The ZAD-50 is at a level way above. I would defenitely buy another Zager guitar. My favorite feature is the strings close to the fret board. It makes it enjoyable to play and my hand gets less fatigued. I'm able to play longer. Before buying this guitar, I was looking at Taylor and Martin guitars. I decided to try out the ZAD-50 since there was a risk free money-back guarantee. When it arrived I was very impressed. The Taylor and Martin guitars I tried out that sounded as good and were as easy to play as the ZAD-50 were way more expensive. I have no doubt that I got a great deal with the ZAD-50.Zager Guitars

Features : I am just learning to play guitar but i feel this is going to be one of the eassist one to learn on i have a friend that has been playing for quite a while i showed it to him he played it and said it was a nice guitar with nice sound.

Sound: I love the sound of this guitar i am having some trouble reaching over the body of it but i have never played guitar it is something i will have to get used to.

Action, Fit, & Finish : i do not know a lot about guitars but i had a friend look at it that has been playing for quite a while he said it was realy nice and i should have it for a long time i have been trying to learn to make chords on one that i was just getting sore fingers on when i recieved my zad50 i was able to make some of them i still need to practice on them but they sound better all the time.

Customer Support: I have just recieved it but every time i ask a question they have been there to help me they ansered every thing and were very helpful and friendly

Overall RatingI am just learning to play i have little guitar that i have had since i was little but could never play it my fingers would hurt and i woud quit i have always thought i wanted to learn i started looking on the internet and found zager guitars it said no more sore fingers and had a money back guarantee if i was not happy with it what did i have to lose they were there for me any time i had a questions the strings are closer to the neck a lot easer to practice with if i can't play this one i will know that it was my fault.
